I had hoped by now to have lots of new products ready to take to Spring Fair, but there just isn't enough hours in the day to keep up with orders and all the preparation needed.
However I have managed to make these 'Bow Boards' which will come complete with hair rose, and two hair bows. Perfect for hanging up in any little girls room and keep their hair clips tidy. They will be available in a variety of different fabrics and ribbons.
Well less than 3 weeks to go till Spring Fair, preparations are now in full flow. The first item on this weeks 'To Do' list is getting more tutus photographed and onto the website, so potential suppliers can see more of the range we can offer.
I'm a little behind schedule as the photographer is booked for tomorrow and I still have tutus to finish, before I even start on other items. I thought I would share a little snapshot of how my workroom looks when an tutu order is in progress. It is important that the tutus stay fluffy and clean. Tulle attracts every little bit of fluff in the air, so I vacuum my workroom before I start work and then make sure the tutus don't go on the floor. Not easy to do, so I have installed an extra pole above my workdesk for storing tutus while they are in progress.
I will updating this blog regularly in the run up to the Spring Fair, sharing any ideas/insights I can think of.
As regular followers will know, Strawberry Annie's are taking the giant step of having a stand at the upcoming trade show Spring Fair
This has been a massive financial outlay for us and it is so important that everything is done to make it a success. The first step being to invite 'boutique/gift shop' owners to view our range at the fair.
We have a few places to invite but I need loads more.....so what you need to do to enter our giveaway, is simply to suggest some shops in your area that we could invite. Maybe it's a children's boutique or perhaps a general gift shop or somewhere else entirely, don't forget we can supply gorgeous shabby chic bunting as well as tutus and bows.....
What will you get if yours is the name pulled out of the hat? A £15.00 voucher to spend on any Strawberry Annie's products. If required we will also post a link to your blog, facebook, shop, website etc.
So how do you enter, it's simple just choose one of the following or all of them for more chances.
* suggest a shop (one entry per shop suggested) * follow this blog (might as well as your here, one extra entry) * follow us on twitter here (one entry) * tweet to say you've entered this giveaway with a link to this post (one entry) * share our facebook page with your friends (one entry) * mention this on post on your blog (one entry)
Happy New Year to all friends/followers of Strawberry Annie's. Here at Strawberry HQ, we are full of enthusiaum and we have a good feeling that 2011 is going to be the year of the Strawberry!
Before we get properly back to work, we have a party to plan for the youngest strawberry. Being a very girly girl, she has requested a Fancy Nancy Party based on the gorgeous books by Jane O'Connor (find out more here)
Fancy invites were ordered from Etsy, and handed out before the school holidays. With less than a week to go its time to plan what we are going to do. Some of you might know that I use to run a children's party business for several years, but despite this (or maybe because of it) I still find planning a party stressful but I am determined to make this fun for her.
We are going to make a sparkly 'Bonjour' sign for the front door (Nancy likes to use French words for extra fancyness) We are going to have a beauty parlour set up for painting nails and adding glitter but I need a really good name for this so I can make a sign. The room will be decorated with lots of pink sparklyness so I need to buy streamers and bits for this. Our living room is pink and red anyway so quite girly to start with!
The birthday tea will be a big part of the party, so I am going to set up the table in the kitchen and use lots of cake stands, posh plates etc.
Now I just need to start actually making things and getting organised.
Tea loving, cake eating, crazy trike riding woman with red hair, I love creating for Strawberry Annie's, busy building my brand while juggling being a mum to three children (well two little ones and one almost adult!)
